Lawyer and law firm headshots in Winnipeg, photographed by me.

I'm Mark Eadie, and I photograph Winnipeg lawyers and firms for the work the photo actually has to do: your firm's roster page, the Law Society of Manitoba directory, LinkedIn, and press. I shoot every session myself, and I've done it here for 15 years.

  • Shot to match your firm's roster, so you don't stand out on the bio page.
  • Built for the Law Society directory and LinkedIn in a single sitting.
  • My private Exchange District studio, or I'll come to your firm for the whole team.

Lawyer & law firm headshots in Winnipeg

I photograph Winnipeg lawyers, and I shoot for where the photo ends up.

A lawyer's headshot is working before you say a word. It sits on the firm site next to the partners, it's in the Law Society of Manitoba directory, and it's the first thing a prospective client or opposing counsel sees on LinkedIn. It has to read as someone who'd be trusted with the file, not an afterthought shot on a phone.

I've photographed Winnipeg lawyers and firms for 15 years, from sole practitioners to people at firms like MLT Aikins, and I shoot every session myself. That's why a lawyer I photograph this year still matches the one I shot last year: same setup, same hand, same standard.

You don't have to be good in front of a camera, and most litigators tell me they aren't. I direct the whole thing, so you leave with a clean, current headshot that holds up wherever your name appears.

If it misses, I fix itIf the photos don't land for you, I'll bring you back and reshoot them. No charge, no catch, no expiry date.

Where it has to work

Three places your headshot has to hold up.

A lawyer's headshot isn't one image for one spot. It has to carry across the places your name shows up, and I shoot it with all of them in mind from the start.

01

Your firm's roster page

On the bio page you sit beside the rest of the partners and associates. A headshot taken somewhere else, in different light, on a different background, shows, and it's the firm that ends up looking uneven. I match the lighting, crop, and background to your roster so you drop in cleanly, whether your firm already has a house standard or you're the one setting it.

02

The Law Society of Manitoba directory

Your directory listing is a public, searchable record, and for plenty of prospective clients it's the first photo of you they find. I shoot a clean, straight-on headshot on a neutral background that meets what the directory expects and still looks like you on a good day, not a licence photo.

03

LinkedIn, press, and the call to the bar

LinkedIn is where opposing counsel, recruiters, and clients size you up before a first conversation, and a press or speaking bio wants something with a bit more presence. From one sitting I'll get you the straight professional frame and a few with more gravitas, plus a call-to-the-bar portrait in your robes if you bring them.

The session

What a lawyer headshot session is like.

It's quick, it's directed, and you mark your own selects at the end of the sitting.

Before you come in, you book a time and the $50 deposit holds it. I send a prep note on what to wear and bring, and we sort anything specific, robes, or a background standard your firm wants matched, when you arrive.

In the studio, I light you and direct every frame: how you sit, your angle, where to look, what your face is doing. The litigators who walk in braced for a stiff, severe photo are usually the ones most surprised by what we get.

At the end, we run back through the takes together and you mark the ones you want. I hand-retouch your picks and send the finished files within the week, sized for your firm site, the directory, LinkedIn, and print.

Photographing the whole firm?

If it's the full roster, not just you, I'll come to your office or run everyone through the studio, lighting each person the same way so the bio page matches end to end. New associates book themselves in later on a private link.

Reviews

The most-reviewed headshot studio in Manitoba.

★★★★★ 5.0 / 5.0 on Google · 193 five-star reviews

More Winnipeg professionals have reviewed my work than any other headshot studio in the province, every one of them photographed by me. It's the clearest answer to the only question that matters before you book: does the person in the reviews do work you'd put your name beside?

Good questions

What Winnipeg lawyers ask me before booking.

Will my headshot match the rest of my firm's roster?
Yes, and it's the main reason to give this to one photographer. If your firm runs a consistent look across the bio page, send me a sample, the background, the crop, the lighting, and I'll match it so your headshot sits beside the partners without looking like the odd one out. If there's no standard yet, I'll set a clean one you can hold new hires to.
Do you shoot for the Law Society of Manitoba directory?
Yes. I shoot a clean, straight-on frame on a neutral background that drops straight into your Law Society of Manitoba listing, delivered sized and cropped so you're not fighting the upload. The same sitting gives you the firm-site and LinkedIn versions too, so you're covered everywhere at once.
Can you photograph our whole firm, not just me?
Yes, that's a big part of what I do. For a full roster I'll come to your office or run everyone through the studio, lighting each person the same way so the bio page matches, and new associates can book themselves in later on a private link. Have a look at my corporate team headshots page or send me a headcount for a quote.
I always look severe or stiff in photos. Can that be fixed?
That's most litigators, honestly. The fix is direction, not you. I'll set your posture, your angle, and your expression and adjust until it reads as composed and credible rather than stern or frozen. You don't have to perform anything; I talk you through every frame.
How should I dress for a lawyer headshot?
Dress the way you would for court or a client you're trying to win, and you're in the right zone. A dark or mid-tone suit or blazer is the safe call for a firm bio, since it sits well next to the partners and reads the way the directory expects. Leave the loud patterns and anything with a logo, and if you want a call-to-the-bar shot in robes, bring them. I send a prep note when you book and we sort the rest on the day.
How far ahead should I book around a court schedule?
A week or so is usually enough, but I know your calendar bends to the court's, not mine. Tell me when you book if you're working around a trial date, a swearing-in, or a firm photo deadline, and I'll fit the session in and turn the files around to meet it.
What does a lawyer headshot cost, and how soon do I get it?
Individual sessions run $195 to $495 depending on how much you need, and you buy only the retouched images you choose, from $95 each down to $65 at higher counts. A $50 deposit holds the date. You pick your shots with me on the day, and I send the finished files within the week. A firm roster is quoted per head.
What if I don't like it?
Then we reshoot, and it's on me. No conditions, no expiry, and nothing to argue about. A headshot going on your firm bio and the Law Society directory has to be one you're glad to have there, so if it isn't, we go again.

Let's get your headshot sorted.

Book in a couple of minutes, the $50 deposit holds your date, and if it misses, I'll reshoot it on me.
